It has been a very busy and amazing week in our lives. This band has nothing but absolute thanks and love to all of you for everything we have had come our way. From playing the basements with 30 of you watching, to playing the Metro in Chicago, to headlining Warped Tour this year we feel that you guys have shown us why being in a band like ours is absolutely worth it and necessary. As we told you last week, we have been nominated for 4 MTV Video Music Awards. We never expected it and were ecstatic to find out the news. We told you about the MTV2 award and asked you to vote. We are very grateful to those of you that have voted for us. We shall see on August 28th what happens with that one. Now, however, we have one more thing to ask of you. David vs. Goliath is the best example of what we are going to ask. Today, and tomorrow hopefully, we are up for the viewer’s choice nomination on MTV. Today we have to go up against not just one artist. We have the problem of going up against the Jay-z/ Linkin Park Mash-Up. Here is what we do know; those dudes are HUGE. The other thing that we know is that we can beat them.
